Comfort Inn By the Bay

Room has excellent views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Clean rooms with crisp white duvet covers. Breakfast included with 24/7 coffee. Great location. Jean on Front Desk is awesome. Highly recommended.

Stayed overnight at Comfort Inn By the Bay. Overall, everything was fine and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient and the staff was polite. However, a few things were disappointing: the room did not have a refrigerator, parking is paid ($35 per night), and there is a $75 security deposit. Breakfast was average and could be better. In general, it’s a decent place for a short stay, but it would be nice if these details were more clearly communicated in advance.

I really enjoyed our stay here! My partner and I came for a weekend in SF, stayed here and had a great time. The location is great, and cute neighborhood. It’s close by a lot of restaurants, and coffee shops (beware of the hills if you aren’t familiar haha). There is parking! We liked the service so much, we came back two weekends later for business and Jonathan at the front desk greeted us so kindly! He remembered us from the last time, and is the loveliest staff!! He’s efficient, super warm, and great at his job. 10/10 for service and would return again!

I came here for a work trip and thoroughly loved the hospitality. I landed late at night and was greeted by a kind attendant who informed me about discounts for future trips. The staff helped with some picks when I inquired about local coffee, and the breakfast selections were excellent. Highly recommended - Jean is a sweetheart.

Stayed in the City end of January, employees was very courteous from the front desk folks Terry and Jean, Adelaida the cleaning lady, and Jonathan from the night shift that welcomed us upon check in. Very responsive to inquiries (with a supply of smiling faces), the rooms were clean, the free breakfast was also pretty good. The location itself was very safe, we walked to and from the Wharf starting from Van Ness (northward) down to the Wharf almost to the Maritime museum all the way to the Ferry Building in all sorts of hours as early as 6am until the evening, we felt very safe (use common sense, if your spider senses feel odd follow it) ours did not tingle the entire time. Would we stay here again, 100% YES!!!! good hotel, great area, cost is reasonable and you can almost walk everywhere. PS: is you are looking for a 4-5 star type accommodation, this is not it. But if you are looking for a good quality Hotel that is safe, and in close proximity to almost anywhere you want to visit in San Fran then this is one of those places. (walkable to the base of The Golden gate bridge, the Wharf, Warriors stadium, The Ferry Building and a bunch of restaurants along the way to include the Moscone Center). Hope this helps.

Terry, Jonathan and Eva we're all extremely helpful friendly and professional. The hotel is in a great location.Kept very clean and the rooms are big and bright. The bed is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is spacious , very clean as well and fully functional. The view from the upper floors is priceless. In a great part of town , closer to the water with the views of the golden gate. The parking is a great deal as other places charge sixty to seventy dollars a day...they charge 35. You have to walk to the garage as well off site in many other higher priced hotels. Here the garage is under the hotel and very convenient. It's fairly quiet considering it's on a major intersection of lombard and Van Ness. There is an issue with the air units. When you turn them on, it does have a slight mildew smell which can be off putting. Fortunately, I don't need the air conditioning or the heating.The temperature is perfect, so I just kept it off. To fix that would be a major overhaul of the whole system which is probably extremely expensive. Other than that for the price, the hotel is a ten out of ten. So corporate knows , your staff is excellent, as I mentioned. You can save money and have an even nicer experience than a lot of the other higher priced hotels.

I had a great stay at Comfort Inn by the Bay. The service was exceptional, and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was good and a nice way to start the day. The location is excellent for visiting San Francisco, and our room had a beautiful view, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I especially want to thank Jonathan and Terry. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and felt well taken care of. Five stars for the stay! Highly recommend.

All was fine except a couple issues with bathroom. The blower and heat lamp didn’t work. Front desk wouldn’t accept our comments; told us to post on Expedia! But breakfast was great. Good coffee and decent scrambled eggs, not dry at all!
